In May 2026, Dr Diane Turner, senior consultant and director of Anthias Consulting, was awarded Chartered Chemist (CChem) by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

Taken from the RSC website: The award of Chartered Chemist (CChem) status is a peer reviewed process providing recognition of their skills, knowledge and professionalism within the chemical sciences. The award demonstrates to the wider community that they have:
• Built on their academic achievements and developed professional skills in a work environment.
• Gained in-depth knowledge and critical awareness of their chosen area of the sciences.
• Developed strong scientific skills and are committed to improving them.
• Made a critical contribution to the success of their organisation, business or institution.
• Shown personal and professional integrity.
• Committed to developing their career, as well as advancing excellence in the sciences.

Chartered Chemists are expected to undertake lifelong learning in the form of professional development to ensure their knowledge and skills are kept up to date.

The Royal Society of Chemistry is the UK’s professional body for chemical scientists, maintains standards of competence and professional practice and provides support and representation for its members bringing together chemical scientists from all over the world.

Speaking on the award, Dr Diane Turner took to LinkedIn to say: “I’m delighted to share that I have been awarded with Chartered Chemist (CChem) by the Royal Society of Chemistry, here is my updated digital credential.
