We’re excited to announce a new venue partner in the University of Southampton, who will host a range of Anthias Consulting training courses.
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Southampton is driven by a shared passion for discovery, offering an exceptional teaching and research environment supported by cutting‑edge facilities and strong industry links.

It boasts state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, refurbished teaching spaces, and a vibrant community dedicated to shaping the next generation of chemists and chemical engineers.
Professor Geraint (Taff) Morgan of the University of Southampton said:
“The University of Southampton is a founding member of the Rusell Group and is the leading university for Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise in the UK. The recent formation of CChES (Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Enterprise Solutions) further illustrates our commitment to KEE and engagement with industry.
Having successfully collaborated with Dr Diane Turner and her colleagues at Anthia Consulting for over twenty years, I am delighted that we can continue the mutually beneficial relationship here at Southampton. Hosting Anthais’ training courses has provided a ‘shop window’ for our analytical capabilities. In addition, the portfolio of RSC approved training courses have and will continue to be of significant benefit to my staff and students, as well as their international customers.
I look forward to the next twenty years.”
The first course to be held at the University of Southampton will be our Hands-on GC and GC-MS on the 29th June to the 3rd July.
This course provides the theory of gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS) essential to any participant, along with hands-on practical elements in the laboratory to practice and re-enforce the theoretical knowledge. These courses are 50% theory and 50% practical in a lab environment.
