At Pittcon, the goal is to advance scientific endeavor through collaboration, bringing together a world of knowledge to impact, enrich, and inspire the future of science. Pittcon is a catalyst for the exchange of information, a showcase of the latest advances in laboratory science, and a venue for international connectivity.

And 2026 was no difference. Anthias director and senior consultant, Dr Diane Turner and consultant, Dr Giles Edwards were among the crowds at Pittcon in Texas.

Pittcon is also a great place for networking opportunities, social events, and an environment that fosters knowledge and expands your network of scientific resources.

“I really enjoyed the networking, whether that was on the stands in the exhibition hall (I managed to catch-up with lots of people I haven’t seen in ages as well as meeting new people), in the short courses (I met some people from previous years as well as meeting new people and finding out about their work and their method problems), and in the technical presentations (again hearing from friends about their latest work as well as learning about new developments).” Comment Diane.

Proceeds from each and every Pittcon directly fund science education and outreach. Over 90% of Pittcon’s net profit goes on to fund primary and secondary education, continuing education, scholarships, laboratory improvements, and outreach activities.

Training and developing

Pittcon’s Technical Program encompasses a wide range of presentations and networking, both formal and informal. The Conference Tracks this year included:

Bioanalytical & Life Science | Environment & Energy | Pharmaceutical & Biologic | Cannabis & Psychedelic | Instrumentation & Nanoscience | Professional Development

Anthias Consulting was at the heart of the training programme this year and not only presented three short courses, but held two brainstorming sessions and a workshop covering a number of techniques in the field of analytical chemistry.

Diane on teaching at Pittcon 2026: “As always, I really enjoyed teaching short courses at Pittcon. The delegates are always very friendly and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the techniques they use. It is always brilliant to be able to solve a lot of their problems by equipping them with more advanced knowledge about their techniques and instrumentation.”

Overall, Pittcon 2026 was another great success. We’re looking forward to heading back in 2027 to Pittsburgh, PA, USA | David L. Lawrence Convention Center in April! Hopefully see you there.
