After a busy few months attending and speaking at a range of conferences, as highlighted in our recent article 2026 Spring Conferences, we’ve taken some time to reflect on the insights gained and the connections made. Now back and with a chance to digest our experiences, we spoke with Director Diane Turner to hear her key takeaways in our Spring conference round-up.

Technology Specialists Network Conferences

Poster prize winner at TSN

It was wonderful to be able to stay for the whole of the Technology Specialists Network (TSN) conference to network with contacts new and established. There were 19 posters to judge, which took me most of the afternoon as they were so enjoyable to read and covered such a wide range of subjects. It was very difficult to decide the winner as the quality was so high, so it was good to be able to narrow it down to my top 7. I then discussed these with the other judges for us then to collectively decide on a winner. I’m looking forward to seeing the poster part of the conference grow each year and it was brilliant for Anthias Consulting to be able to support this initiative in its first year.

Analytical Science Network

It has been around 10 years since I last presented at the Emerging Analytical Professionals (EAP) conference, so it was wonderful to be invited to teach a workshop and run an exercise at the end of the session which really got people meeting each other and getting to know about each other’s work. It was lovely to make many new connections, both early career scientists alongside the established scientists who were giving presentations. It was a shame that I couldn’t stay for the weekend which had a wonderful agenda, but it was great for Anthias Consulting to be able to support this event again and we look forward to being able to do so again in future years.
