New activity

This year, we proudly launched a new website to enhance user experience and accessibility. These updates make it easier for delegates to explore our services, register for courses, and access valuable resources. The redesign reflects our focus on clarity, functionality, and modern design, ensuring that our digital platforms match the quality of our training.

We’ve brought you:

  • Improved course information, clearly grouped by technique, experience level, manufacturer, and delivery method.
  • Easier ways to browse and book training courses. Whether you prefer online, in-person, lab‑based, or blended learning environments.
  • Updated resources, including CPD‑related content, interviews, tech tips, webinars, and more, all in a coherent and accessible layout.

2025 also saw the addition of new team members who bring fresh expertise and energy to Anthias Consulting. Their contributions have strengthened our ability to deliver tailored solutions and maintain the high standards our delegates expect. We welcomed two new members in 2025 and look to welcome another member in the new year.

Anastasiia Khitrinevich: Website developer and consultant. Anastasiia joined in May of 2025 and has been instrumental in the launch of the new website and its continuation of performance.

Matthew Gell: Trainer and consultant. Matthew will be joining us in January and taking on teaching a range of our courses both online and face-to-face. We look forward to welcoming Matthew in January.

Outreach + volunteering activity

Diane Turner, Director and Senior Consultant at Anthias Consulting, has taken time out of her busy training schedule to dedicate much of 2025 to inspiring students, supporting careers education, and sharing her expertise in analytical chemistry. Through a wide range of outreach and volunteering activities, Diane has engaged with schools, colleges, and professional audiences across the UK, bringing science to life and encouraging young people to explore future opportunities.

Form the Future

Diane has partnered with Form the Future for a number of years now, contributing to careers education by helping students understand the diverse paths available in science and technology.

  • June – Careers Carousel at Northstowe Secondary College
  • December – Careers Carousel at Swavesey Village College

These sessions gave students the chance to meet professionals, ask questions, and gain insights into STEM careers.

“I’m a Scientist” – Inspiring Classroom Sessions

Diane has taken part in the “I’m a Scientist” programme many times this year, delivering interactive real-time text-based chats and discussions across the country.

  • January – Earth & Environmental Sciences chat with Pate’s Grammar School, Gloucestershire
  • February – Spectrometry and Spectroscopy (Chemistry) chat with Herne Bay High School, Kent
  • February – Forensics chat with The Sandon School, Essex

These sessions ranged from environmental science to chemistry and forensics, sparking curiosity and showing students how science connects to everyday life.

Meteorites Outreach

Bringing space science to communities, Diane shared her passion through hands-on sessions showcasing The Open University’s meteorite outreach collection in March visiting:

  • Swavesey Village College inspiring Year 8 space projects
  • The Courtyard Café, Papworth Everard for a public event
  • Newton Primary School
  • Comberton Village College science club
  • Papworth Day Centre

These events allowed students and community members to experience real meteorite samples and learn about their scientific significance.

Mock Interviews & Careers Support

Helping students prepare for the world of work, Diane volunteered her time to support career readiness:

  • May – Mock Interviews at Swavesey Village College
  • July – Hosting a work experience placement at Anthias Consulting

Through these activities, Diane provided practical advice and mentoring to help young people build confidence and skills for their future careers.
