Part of our mission is outreach; bringing STEM to children. In the past this has involved taking meteorites to pre-schools, hosting work experience students and taking scientific instrument parts to high schools.

This year Lab Innovations will be held at the Birmingham NEC on the 1st and 2nd of November. Dr Diane Turner will be speaking twice at the Royal Society of Chemistry theatre, one alongside Dr Pernilla Sörme from My Green Lab. Dr Giles Edwards will also be talking. Please see their abstracts here.

On the 6th October, we attended Burlington House in London for the RSC Sustainability journal's annual Sustainability Symposium. It was well attended and we enjoyed sharing ideas with the other delegates and speakers.
The speakers were diverse in their topics, whilst keeping sustainability core to their messages. This really highlighted for us the concept that sustainability is an overarching theme in all that we do, across all types of chemistry (and beyond).
