Anthias Consulting Ltd. is a successful training and consultancy business specialising in Analytical Chemistry techniques.
Job title: Marketing and Office Administrator
Position: Part-time role, permanent contract. Ideally 20-30 hours per week, Monday – Friday but flexibility for the right person and can fit around school hours and school holidays.
Reports to: Senior Consultant
Location: The office is based in Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire. Occasional working from home can be accommodated.
Job summary: A marketing role in a micro-business encompassing social media, website updates, email campaigns, advertising, event planning and supporting sales alongside business administration.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Maintaining and updating website content.
- Advertising and promoting training courses and events on social media, websites and with media companies and keeping our pages, profiles and information up-to-date.
- Feeding back all data and success rate from each marketing activity and actively looking at how to fine tune them for maximum return.
- Working with our graphic designer to create both digital and in-print marketing, graphic designs to promote training courses, ordering marketing and promotional materials, within company brand guidelines.
- Writing press releases for news articles and publishing to other platforms. Writing biographies, profiles, and industry awards submissions.
- Organising exhibiting at events and managing Anthias’ attendance or presence at events including speakers. Attendance at some networking events, conferences and exhibitions within the UK.
- Proactively build relationships with partners, then working with them on mutual promotions and maintaining media from them.
- Forging relationships with a view to hosting training on their site then working with venues to host training courses and promote those courses.
- Office administration including office utilities, ordering and maintaining office equipment and supplies, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date and followed and any other tasks as required in business administration.
- Supporting sales, working alongside the Business Development Manager, with answering customer enquiries.
- Assisting with HR duties within the company such as staff recruitment and onboarding, process contracts and insurance documents, updating and creating HR policies, maintain staff handbook, processing employee time sheets and holiday requests, assisting with payroll.
- Work to the company health and safety policy.
Requirements:
- Must have good experience in marketing of at least two or more from: website updates, social media, Google Ads, advertising, writing news/press releases and email campaigns.
- A background or interest in science is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to learn with keen attention to detail.
- Self-driven and motivated, happy to turn attention to alternative tasks if required.
- Able to work with changing priorities and excellent at task completion.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Must be organised, able to prioritise work, have responsibility for completing work with little management and happy to work both in a team and as an individual.
- Well presented.
- Experienced and familiar with the main social media platforms.
- Experienced in updating websites.
- Must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office, internet, email and install software.
