How to get to the Anthias and Agilent Courses at The Open University?

 

Anthias Consulting has a strategic relationship with the Applied Science and Technology Group’s (ASTG) of The Open University, who provide excellent GC and GC-MS training facilities for use by Anthias customers. If you are attending our course at The Open University, this is how to get there:

Getting to The Open University campus

The Open University is located at Walton Hall, in Milton Keynes, UK, which is midway between London and Birmingham, and Oxford and Cambridge. It is easily accessible by rail and road. http://goo.gl/maps/fuUYD  

Travel to the campus

By car

On the A421 (Standing Way) through Milton Keynes, The Open University is signposted from both East and West.

From the North on the M1, Junction 14: Follow signs for Milton Keynes, taking A509 to first roundabout (Northfield roundabout). Take first left A5130 signposted to Woburn Sands for two miles. At next roundabout (Kingston roundabout) with BP garage on left, take third exit signposted A5/Aylesbury/Dunstable/Walnut Tree/Universities. Go straight over the next roundabout (Walnut Tree). At the following roundabout (Walton), turn right, then first left for the East entrance to the campus. Main reception is located in the Berrill Building.

From the South on the M1, Junction 13: Follow signs for Milton Keynes, taking A421 for 3.5 miles to the Kingston roundabout. Take second exit onto Groveway (H9), signposted A5/Aylesbury/Dunstable/Walnut Tree/Universities. Go straight over the next roundabout (Walnut Tree). At the following roundabout (Walton), turn right, then first left for the East entrance to the campus. Main reception is located in the Berrill Building.

From the West on the A421 (Standing Way) from Buckingham: take the 3rd exit onto Brickhill Street (V10), go straight over at the next roundabout and then the 3rd exit at the following roundabout into the main East entrance.

By Train and Bus

The University is about four miles from Milton Keynes Central station, on the London (Euston) to Birmingham line. MK Central is an Intercity stop. Trains are frequent and the journey time from Euston varies between 35-60 minutes. There is also an hourly cross London service by Southern Trains from Croydon, Clapham Junction and Shepherds Bush to Milton Keynes. The University is served by a number of public bus services including services to and from Milton Keynes Central Rail Station. For full details, see the Milton Keynes Council bus timetable information page

In addition to public bus services to and from the station, The Open University operates its own peak hour station shuttle bus. This is a direct service and is operated by Souls (pick up at bus stop No. 34 at the station).

By Coach and Bus

The University is about 4 miles from the main bus station, Milton Keynes Coachway, on M1 junction 14. There is an hourly bus service (number No 24/25) from the Coachway to the OU. For details of all local bus services, see The OU Travel Advice pages

By Taxi

If you have reached the coach station or rail station, you can arrive at The University by taxi. Information including phone number of these private taxis can be found from the Milton Keynes Council taxi information page. These journeys can cost you around £ 5 - £20.

There are frequent bus or train services from all the airports to Milton Keynes Central. You will need to take additional buses to the university.
