**Extra dates added** Absolute Basics courses

Due to popular demand, we have added an extra date next month for each of our Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS and Absolute Basics of HPLC & LC-MS courses.

  • Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS - 18th March 2021 - register
  • Absolute Basics of HPLC & LC-MS - 19th March 2021 - register

These courses provide the perfect introduction to these techniques, aimed at complete beginners. They also make an ideal refresher in these techniques.

Each course explains the sorts of problems the technique can be used to solve and the types of samples which can be analysed. The training also details how the technique works, outlining the principles and components of the instrumentation used. Beyond the instrumentation, data analysis and the sorts of questions which the technique can answer is also explored, giving you a full picture.

Our live online courses give you a fully interactive experience in our Virtual Classroom. You can ask questions at any time and have them answered live in real time, to enhance your understanding as you progress through the course.

To attend these courses you do not need to have any background in the technique, chemistry or even in science. We have previously had attendees from a range of roles and backgrounds including sales and marketing personnel, service engineers, as well as PhD students and technicians.

We also recommend our Absolute Basics courses for those with no prior experience of the analytical technique, before attending our more involved intermediate courses.

About our Virtual Classroom

Our Virtual Classroom courses give you a fully interactive experience with the instructor streamed live through a high definition video feed, a clear layout in one view and tools to interact with the trainer, to really get the most from the training.

Delegates can ask live questions at any time; either using their microphone, or type the question in to the either the chat or Q&A boxes.

The interactions area features a virtual whiteboard for drawings and explanations and for courses which contain practical exercises or software demonstrations, the screenshare area enables the trainer to share their screen to carry out these exercises live.

Feedback from our Virtual Classroom training courses

"The structure, being able to access the powerpoint, the presenter, having examples of the equipment to see."  Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS (October 2020).

"Interaction with course tutor was helpful."  Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS (July 2020).

"I've enjoyed that the machinery and some parts of the instruments were shown and described (photos and real-life on the tutor desk). I've liked taking part in solving the problems with the instructor at the end of the course and talking about real-life examples, where HPLC can be used and what can be tested with it. The slides were very neat and clearly presented with a good amount of images and graphs added."  Absolute Basics of HPLC & LC-MS (May 2020).

"The sheer depth of knowledge and information presented."  Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS (April 2020).

"Enjoyed interactive bit at the end, was very useful in solidifying the information."  Absolute Basics of GC & GC-MS (April 2020).
