Anthias Consulting is launching a new range of courses offering training in Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) techniques.
The first to be scheduled are two classroom-based courses providing theoretical training with an emphasis on practical knowledge which delegates can implement immediately. The 1-day Absolute Basics of LC & LC-MS is an introductory course aimed at beginners. The 5-day Complete LC & LC-MS is an intensive course covering the practical theory of LC including understanding the instrumentation, developing and optimising methods and performing troubleshooting and maintenance.
Courses providing hands-on training in a variety of LC techniques and training on specific manufacturers’ instrumentation are set to follow soon after.
Anthias Consulting are pleased to welcome Dr Giles Edwards who joined the company earlier this year to assist with the development of HPLC and LC-MS training course material. Giles has more than 15 years’ experience within the fields of mass spectrometry and the separation sciences working in industry, academia and the third sector.
The venue for these classroom-based courses is The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK, which provides Anthias Consulting with their training facility, boasting an unrivalled suite of world-class analytical instrumentation. In addition, both courses can be delivered onsite and can be tailored to meet the client’s exact needs.
This extension to Anthias Consulting’s training offering builds on the success of delivering high quality training and consultancy over the past 12 years and will provide a seamless solution for all their clients’ training needs. The company is already working on a multidisciplinary tailored training plan for a long-standing client which includes this new course material.
Anthias Consulting Founder and Director Diane Turner said “We are delighted to have Giles on board to deliver this exciting new range of courses. Our work extends to a broad range of industries and applications and we receive a variety of enquiries covering multiple techniques, particularly from our GC client base who have requested our high-quality courses to be provided for these other separation science techniques. This in-house expertise will enable us to deliver training with a strong practical focus and we are looking forward to expanding the range of LC courses even further.”
